Oh there are many others out there, but they have all of Canada, or the States and Canada (it's like looking for a needle in a hay-stack)
There is a Strong possibility to match Birth Family up on this web site. Make sure and list your loved ones birthdate here, and send me your non-identifying information through e-mail and your phone number. (E-mails tend to change.) So I can keep it for my records incase of a match-up.

Alberta is opening the adoption records SOON... Likely in around early Fall to late fall sometime. We can have this too... if we'd only write the polititions and demand our rights back.

Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I am what society calls a Birth-Mother. I searched for my kids for about 13 years... till finally one day my daughter turned 18.. I had my name on the 'Alberta Post Adoption Registry' stating that I was searching for her. It was them that contacted me when she was old enough to know me. From there, through my daughter I also found my son.. this all happend in 1996.
Meanwhile: I have been a vice-president in one of the 'Links' groups in Manitoba for about 5 years, since I had moved there. I have had about 20 years of this work behind me, been helping others with their searches. I have close friends who are adoptee's and some are also Birth-Mothers. I ask for 'Non-Identifying Information' for my records, and have on file in my personal records for match up's. I had a web-site that covered all of Canada... but I found that to much to handle doing all of Canada. So I started this page to just cover Manitoba and also have one for just Alberta where I am from, from there I started up the yahoo groups for all who is searching in Manitoba can get together.. talk about adoption.... and get help with searching.
I have a heart for this work, and find it a very touchy subject for me. I just think that all has a right to know their blood.
When I ask you for any of your personal information... It stays with me.. Only me.. no one else is in my home here helping me with this... nor do I share information with anyone else.. unless of course that person who shared that information with me asks me to.
